Darfield Community Refurbishment Scheme (CRS)

The CRS project at Darfield has delivered all its targets and outcomes, Berneslai Homes board of trustees have given a commitment to continue with the initiative and to increase the size of the new project that is due to commence in the Autumn of 2014.

The project will support up to 20 modern apprentices working on a range of community based environmental projects such as boundary walls, fencing and off road parking etc. Moorlands and Barnsley College will draw down funding and provide the training and assessment opportunities on route to achieving a full NVQ level 2 framework qualification.

The CRS project has established a good reputation for providing employment and training opportunities for young adults that have not reached their full learning potential whilst at school or have been disadvantaged by social and domestic issues.
